LMS 4.0 - how to notify about contracts that will soon expire?

Greetings,

Is there any way to make LMS 4.0 send an e-mail to an arbitrary address when it detects that some service contracts which are currently active will soon expire? Contract Connection only enables me to see which contracts are *already* expired, which is kind of useless if I would like to prolong them.

Unfortunately, this is not possible.  There isn't a background thread that runs to process this kind of event.
