Hello, in LMS (4.1) installing guide, table 'Software and Hardware Requirements for Soft Appliance', it is stated
Memory and CPURequirement: • 4 GB, 2 virtual CPU (< = 500 devices)
Host CPU Core clock speed: • Minimum 2.26 GHz
Minimum Virtual CPU Reservations: Number of recommended virtual CPUs x 2.26 GHz: • 4520 MHz (< = 500 devices)
I have HP server with 6 core CPU 2.0GHz - does it mean it does not meet the minimum system requirements (2.26Ghz)? Will I be able to go pass the installation?

That 2.26Ghz is for the host which would reside on the Virtual machine.
The HP server you have, is if a virtual server, it should be able to provide you a host with accelerated cpu cycles.
That said, even if you want to install on that server with 2Ghz it should give a warning that perfomence may be degraded, but you should be able to install LMS 4.1 on it.
-Thanks

Great Vinod, thank you for your prompt answer! Exactly, I would use VMware ESX on that HP server - so you think it will pass the installation? What do you mean by 'should be able to provide you a host with accelerated cpu cycles' ? To 'overclock' CPU in VM? Is it possible to do that?

Here are the published prerequisites for installing 4.2
The following processors are supported on a Windows system:
Intel processors
•Intel Xeon processor
•Intel Core Duo processor T2600 - T2300
•Quad Core Intel Xeon
•Intel-VT processors (VMware Optimized hardware)
•Intel Xeon processor 5400 series
•Intel Xeon processor 5300 series
•Intel Xeon processor 7300 series
•Intel Xeon processor 5500 series
•Intel Xeon processor 5600 series
AMD processors
•AMD Opteron Processor
•AMD Athlon 64 FX Processor
•AMD Athlon 64 X2
•AMD -V
Note Minimum processor speed must be 2.33 Ghz or higher (below)
•Dual-Core AMD Opteron Processor
•AMD Opteron Processor
•AMD Athlon 64 FX Processor
•AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core
The server requirements on VMware servers remains the same as the server requirements on Windows systems.
However, the following hardware are optimized to run in virtualized environment:
•Intel-VT processors
–Intel® vPro™ processor technology
–Intel® Xeon® processor 5000 sequence
–Intel Xeon processor 7000 sequence
–Intel Xeon processor 3000 sequence
•AMD-V
•IBM X3550 M3
–Intel® Xeon® Processor 5600 series
Thanks
