HI,
When and how is the Perl Script "hostnamechange.pl" to be used.
As I have noticed that alough my Server name is X some configuration files contain the old Server name
As I migrated to an updated Server with a restore.
Thanks

HI ,
If you have changed the cisco works server name at any time then you have to run the
"hostnamechange.pl" script so that this can change the name of the server to the respective files on the server..
to run this :
on command prompt :
NMSROOT\CSCOpx\bin >perl hostnamechange.pl
for e.g :
c:\propram files\CSCOpx\bin >perl hostnamechange.pl
I hope that should work for you !!!

Hi,
So with the following should I reply Y ?
D:\Ciscoworks\bin>/Ciscoworks/bin/perl /Ciscoworks/bin/hostnamechange.pl -ohost ukubs-nmlms01 -nhost ukubs-nmlms02
The old hostname that you have entered does not match the existing old hostname.
Do you want to continue [y/n]?n
D:\Ciscoworks\bin>
The server name is ukubs-nmlms02 the old name was nmlms01
Thanks
