LMS3.2.1 - should my custom log rotation settings override log4j properties?

For LMS 3.2.1 on Windows, I have configured log rotation settings for dcmaservice.log but the settings are ineffective, even after stop/start CW daemon manager.  Other posts on this forum state that dcmaservice.log rotation is managed by log4j but can also be configured in logrot.  Is this incorrect or have I encountered a bug in logrot?

Yes, you will need to restart Daemon Manager.  Alternatively, you can make a change to base.property, then change one of the debugging levels in the GUI.  Doing that will cause base.property to reinitialize.

I tried updating base.property and changing a debug level but the new log4j settings did not take effect. This is on Windows version.  Restarting Daemon Manager had, of course, done the trick.

That's right.  This was changed for performance.  You will need to restart Daemon Manager for the base.property settings to take effect.
