Network Device Discovery.

Hi,

I have one Ciscoworks server with the following.

Common Services 3.1.0

Campus Manager 5.0.0

Cisco View 6.1.6

Default Device Manager 3.0.0

IPM 4.0.0

RME 4.1.0

I only installed this yesterday. I am having issue with Device Discovery where I put in the IP Address of our 6509 switch and put in the IP Address range (for example 10.2.0.0) for it to scan. However it is returning no results. I have added in the SNMP settings.

Is there anything I might be missing.

Thanks

Anthony.

Ugh, LMS 3.0.  You really should upgrade to LMS 3.0.1 which dramatically changes the way Discovery works.  You can download LMS 3.0.1 from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/lms301 .  Once done, apply the consolidated Discovery patch from CS 3.1.1 from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cw2000-cd-one .  After that, configure Common Services Discovery under Common Services > Device and Credentials > Device Discovery as desired.  If you use CDP as the discovery method, make sure your seed device has CDP neighbors, and double-check the SNMP settings to make sure they match what is configured on the device.
