I'm looking for some NMS that will allow me to do a few things. I've found a great solution, but apparently they only sell to 'US military organisations', link is here: https://www.castlerock.com/products/snmpc/
I would like a solution that would allow me to do a few things:
Create a logical diagram of the network
Allow me to open a shell straight into a device from the same piece of software, or by using something like PuTTY
Perform basic SNMP monitoring, or at least ping tests to visually show availability of a device
The problem I have with our current solution is we are using a separate monitoring solution that pulls a lot of stats, we then use Visio for creating our logical diagrams, and then we also use MtPuTTY for SSHing onto our devices. Keeping logical diagrams up to date is a bit of a pain as it requires me to go into Visio and mess around with adding new devices and links. Whereas something like SNMPc (linked above) would allow me to keep it up to date as things change as I will already be in the app.
