I am trying to find a nice gui solution to monitor my network. I would like to see logs, bandwidth, temp, failures etc. DNA is ridiculously expensive, whatsup gold seems too high also (got quoted $20k). Anyone have suggestions? I know there are some free ones out there are any of them good?

Hi there,
For infrastructure monitoring I have used Nagios in the past, now re-branded Nagios Core: https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios-core/
For network device unitilisation, I would recommend Cacti: https://www.cacti.net/
If you are feeling adventurous and fancy rolling your own monitoring dashboards then take a look at the TIG stack (Telegraf, InfluxDB and Grafana): https://grafana.com/
I wrote a post about creating a Grafana dashboard for a SRX firewall: https://cs7networks.co.uk/2021/06/21/network-device-monitoring-with-telegraf-grafana-and-snmp/
There is a bit of a steep learning curve gathering together all of the require SNMP OIDs and mapping them in the dashboard, but it is good *fun* once you get the hand of it.
cheers,
Seb.

solarwinds.com is yet another suggestion, but I do think they are proud of their product which means it cost.
