Prime 13 changing Hostname on Server

We have a Prime 1.3 installed currently with a diffrenet hostname on the Redhat server.

Was wondering if we can change the hostname on the box, without having to re-install the application.

TIA,

Biren

Hi Biren:

Something very peculiar appears to have happened, as the setup script run at initial install only asks for one name and uses it for everything.  You can certainly try

config t
hostname newname
end
write mem

then "ncs stop" and "reload", and see if that syncs everything back.  In some instances, the /etc/hosts file or the Oracle names files have had to be manipulated manually, but you'd probably want to have a TAC engineer do that.

If you don't have the new Update-1 patch for Prime Infrastructure 1.3.0.20 installed (filename PI_1.3.0.20_Update_1-12.tar.gz) installed, I'd suggest you get it.  While it's not going to specifically address this issue, there are a lot of really good fixes in it.
