Something that I have noticed with PI 2.2 in HA using the local model.
When adding a new device, PI will auto configure itself to be the logging and snmp trap destination host. This is expected, however it will configure the destination host to be the current active PI server. Having a virtual IP Address removes the need to configure two destinations on the managed devices so you can send everything to the one virtual IP Address.
My question is can I configure PI to auto-configure the newly managed devices to send to the virtual IP Address?
At current I need to push out config templates removing individual host IP Address and adding in the virtual IP Address after adding devices.
