Prime Infrastructure Upgrade to 3.1.5: Restore application backup after install

Hi There

Our Organisation is planning to upgrade Cisco Prime Infrastructure from 3.1.3 to 3.1.5. I have already;

Installed Device pack 7 and 10 and have set up backups going to our FTP server. Before installation I intend to Stop Prime and get a VM snapshot taken.

In the documentation it indicates that after the install is complete you must;

  • Identify the application backup file you want to restore and then enter the following command to restore from that file:

PIServer/admin# restore {filename} repository {repositoryName} application NCS

My question is will the backup repository still be held locally on Prime ? and if not how do I transfer the file from the FTP back onto Prime locally?

Thanks in advance

Richard

Hi all

Figured this out...

copy ftp://{ftp IP Address}/{backup file name ending in .tar.gpg} disk:defaultRepo/

When prompted enter your username and password.

I will put an update on how the upgrade went.

Thanks

Richard
