Problems with configuration management.

Hello,

I have a customer with Ciscoworks RWAN 1.2, MRTG and Openview NNM running in a machine.

The first day all works fine, but three/four days after when I change a router configuration, I can see the syslog message but the configuration is not saved.

Is there any conflict between this aplications? Any idea about that? I have done the instalation for two times, and it fails at three/four days....

Thanks

Alicia.

If you make config changes but the new config is not pulled by Config Archive, check to see if the command is included in one of these files:

- CommandExcludesCat.ini

- CommandExcludesIos.ini

- CommandExcludesPix.ini

- CommandExcludesFs.ini

The Excludes files stop certain commands from being recognized as config changes and so the new config is not archived. For instance, if the change made is the telnet timeout, that command is excluded by default. However, you can remove the exec-timeout command from the Excludes files. These are text files located at /CSCOpx/objects/cmf/data/. After removing the command from these files, restart daemon manager.
