Hi All,
We are going to take responsibility on a new company's network, and we thought about 3 options how to do it.
Right now, their network is going out to their global IT, with 2 old 3750 catalyst connected to IT switches.
"Below" of those 3750, there is all their internal networking, including switches/storage/servers/clients.
3 options are :
1. Pair of Nexus 9000 with Switch-Profile (conf sync) :
Advantages are Nexus ! the BW, the amount of 40 GB ports (for future use) + we can use FEXes, and manage whole networking from one pane of glass.
But, I'm afraid of the 'switch-profile'. I heard that it have some bugs.... what do you say ?
2. One Nexus 9000 (and another one will be installed in the rack, powered-off. and if the main one will be faulted, we'll power-on , and move the config + connections to it)
Advantages are the same as before. and in this option, I don't need to 'switch-profile' headache
3. Pair of catalyst 9300
It's the most simple way. but the disadvantages is that I won't have one pane of glass
I'll be glad to hear your opinion on the advantages/disadvantages of those options.
Thanks in advance
