Router configuration backup

Is it possible to backup the router running config to a host computer and upload it later back to the Router? If so, where can I get information on how to do this?

Absolutely. See this URL on how to perform config backup and restore operations using TFTP:

There are also many tools out there to help with this. For example, you can use Rancid or Pancho (Open Source) or CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution for this.
