Hello @pedrolobaton,

switches typically do not have built-in DHCP capabilities. Switches are primarily responsible for connecting devices within a local network, providing Ethernet connectivity, and forwarding data packets based on MAC addresses. While some advanced switches may have limited DHCP relay functionality, it is still recommended to rely on the router for DHCP services in a home network.

I would lean toward the device which is the L3 routing core for your home network.

both can config as DHCP local server

only for SW can support DHCP local server if L3 is enable and it have SVI for than VLAN

which one is better ? for me the closest L3 interface to host the more prefer one
