Router with robust monitoring/reporting capabilities

Hi, I need to set up an internet connection and be able to (a) track total data usage (not bandwith, but usage proper, e.g. like cellphone companies do when you use a hotspot) and (b) record all traffic flowing through that connection. I had thought of using Cisco's RV34 series routers, but I wasn't able to fully comprehend the extent and granularity of its logging capabilities. Is this router capable of doing so? If not, which one should I choose? Are these requirements capable of being done natively within the router or do I need another layer of software to accomplish this? Any guidance will be appreciated.

  -  RV34 series routers are EOL ;  have a look at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/900-series-integrated-services-routers-isr/datasheet-c78-741615.html

Hello,

I think the capabilities of the RV340 are limited, you can see the port traffic (Status and Statistics -> Port Traffic. The higher end routers (like the ISR800) support Flexible Netflow, which lets you configure granular monitoring.

Since you have the RV340, I would look at one of the numerous (free) third party networking monitoring tools (see link attached)...

Thanks @marce1000 for the EOL heads up on the 34 series. Much appreciated!
