Routing with SVI

Hi,

I am trying to route between different VLANs using layer 3 switches in packet tracer, I attached an image of the network, each layer 3 has an SVI for a particular VLAN, for reference MS0 is 192.168.1.1 for vlan 11, MS1 is 192.168.2.1 for vlan 12, also each layer 3 switch has another SVI for vlan 20 (10.20.0.0/24).

I am trying to send RIP updates through vlan 20 between the layer 3 switches, so when a device, lets say 192.168.1.2 (vlan11) tries to communicate with 192.168.2.2 (vlan12), sends the packets to the layer 3 switch that acts as his default gateway, and this one will forward the packets to another layer 3 switch, that acts as gateway of the destination network.

Can this be accomplished?

I attach an image of the network, if more information is needed let me know.

Yes, this should work. You are using VLAN 20 as a transit network between 11, 12 etc. All VLAN SVIs including VLAN 20 should be enabled for RIP.

Regards.

Add a kind reminder, don't forget to enable IP routing by the command "ip routing".
