We are trying to procure a Netflow Analyzer tool for traffic monitoring for one of our clients. We need this primarily to check the BW utilization from all the spoke sites, since we are adding a new server/application at the core location.
We need to simulate the network traffic having a few users access the new application from one of the spoke sites.
1) Can we achieve this on a single switch? We can have the server connected on one of the ports, and the desktop/user machine on another switch port and simulate the same traffic. Will this give the same desired results?
2) Can we take the BW utlized from the switch and add onto the existing BW utilization to check how much BW upgrade is required?
