Hi all,
I have read default Engine ID follow bellow format:
- First 4 octets—First bit = 1, the rest is the IANA enterprise number.
- Fifth octet—Set to 3 to indicate the MAC address that follows.
- Last 6 octets—MAC address of the switch
But after configuring an SNMPv3 user on Cisco device, I issue "show snmp engineID" CLI and see the output like that:
#show snmp engineID
Local SNMP engineID: 800000090300CA020D1C0000
I don't know what mean of byte 00?
Please help me clear it.
Thanks.
