SSH fails if password has special characters

Hi,

I've noticed a strange behaviour on a asa 5505 vers. 8.0.3.

I use radius for authentication, and the radius server is IAS on a win2k3 server.

My Active directory password has special characters whose ASCII value is > 127, like à, ASCII 224.

Connecting via VPN works perfectly, while connecting via SSH to the asa or testing radius configuration (test aaa authentication radius host X.Y.Z.T) does not work.

If I change my password by substituting characters > 127 with their counterpart without accent and ASCII < 128 (e.g. à -> a), everything works.

Is there any way to use radius and my password with accented letters?

Thanks

Ciao

I think there is a bug raised for the same issue you have mentioned and try avoiding special characters. As of now this is the workaround available.also try upgrading the version of SSH used.
