Stop especific message on syslog SWiTCH 2960

Hi,

actually i have a WhatsUp Gold and a few cisco Catalyst 2960.

I want to know, How do I stop the "%SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION" messages to syslog server on the WhatsUp Gold

I only need to stop the fiber related messages.

My current configuration is

logging discriminator SFF8472 severity drops 5 facility drops SFF8472 mnemonics drops THRESHOLD_VIOLATION
logging console informational

...

archive
 log config
  logging enable
  notify syslog contenttype plaintext

...

logging host 172.20.50.102 discriminator SFF8472

I have a problem, whit this configuration is blocking ALL message syslog. I only need to stop the fiber related messages.

Hi ,

I doubt , you could do it from the switch side ,however usually NMS have the "Filters" to drop messages. check with the NMS tool
