System Names not appearing in DFM

Currently running LMS3.1 I have noticed that a number of devices are showing their IP addresses in the System Name field in the Device Details in DFM 3.1.3. The device names display correctly in other modules. How can I get these to resolve back to the host name.

DFM is the one module is LMS that does not respect the DCR Display Name. It relies on a very specific one-to-one matching between hostname and IP. When in doubt, add entries for the problem devices to the server's local hosts file. Then, remove the devices from DFM and re-add them. They will then show up by hostname.

Where is the file located? Are you referring to the lmhost file?

No, C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts on Windows.
