TCL on C2960

Hi,

I am trying to find any tutorial, example, reference or whatever that helps me understand what I can do with TCL on the Catalyst 2960. Since it does not support EEM it seems to have a subset of the possibilities, however it is not clear to me what works and what not. Any hint or pointer is apreciated.

A special interest of me is the 'Command authorization failed' error. I am having 12.2(55)SE on most of the boxes and I do not see a way to TCL with AAA enabled. Is there a workaround that allows the use of exec commands while having AAA and command authorization switched on?

What you are seeing is caused by CSCsu6540.  This bug is not yet fixed in 2960 code, though I have asked for it to be committed there.  The only workaround is to allow your AAA to authorize commands sent with an empty username string.
