I am very new to scripting and would like to know if there is a place for scripts to do the following....
I would like to tftp all configs to a central location for my switches and routers, I would like to output all my switches and routers configs to a text file, I would like to output all my switches and routers port/mod and interface errors. I would like to set these up to run on some type of schedule. Any direction would be great.

I suggest you use a product called Kiwi Cattools. There is a free version if you dont have that many devices. This product will do your backups to text, start and running configs. You can also push configs and commands to it.
