Hey Meraki community!

We’re excited to share that API Analytics is released, in General Availability. This powerful new feature is designed to give organizations greater visibility into their dashboard API consumption. With API Analytics, you can monitor your API performance, track usage trends, and troubleshoot errors such as rate limit hits more effectively.

What’s Included?

Quick overview summary cards – Get a snapshot of key API usage metrics at a glance

📊 Visualization of usage trends – Track API consumption over time with an intuitive graph

📌 Top usage metrics – Identify where consumption is occurring and areas that might need attention

📁 Detailed CSV request log downloads – Export API request logs for deeper analysis or share with others

For more info, refer to our
support docs to learn more 👀

Where to Find It
📍 Navigate to Organization > API & Webhooks to explore API Analytics today

Amazing, I like that! Finally it will be easier to identify applications that use a lot of API calls or might not work efficiently with the API.

Thank you!

I just looked at it on one of the orgs we manage, it has > 400 networks and >3000 devices, month to date it is showing 0 rate limits on c. 250,000 calls.

These calls are mostly issued in bursts at 0100 UTC. I'm surprised that there are 0 rate limits. Is it correct? Or maybe I have done an excellent job of making my scripts pace themselves 😀

After digging a bit deeper , the stats look accurate.

From Jan 24 - Feb 24 = getOrganizationSummaryTopAppliancesByUtilization shows 10 HTTP 429. My client logs also show 10 HTTP 429.
