4210 upgrade / recovery from 3.1 to 4.1

I have a IDS sensor running 3.1 version of soft ware. I also have a upgrade / recovery cd for version 4.1.

When i load the cd & boot the machine it stops the installation & starts looking for a system file. Is it possible to upgrade from 3.1 to 4.1 straight or do you need to upgrade to 4.0 & then from 4.0 to 4.1

You can upgrade a 4210 directly to 4.1 via CD IF you have the proper amount of memory. 4.x requires 512 MB of RAM, but from what I remember you could get away with loading 4.0 on a 256 MB 4210, you just couldn't update the signatures very far before it started complaining.

I have the 512mb but it lookls like my upgrade & recovery cd is damaged i need to look into getting another one from cisco. I dont know how but i will look into it.If you know please advice me
