4215 2FE IDS to 4215 2FE IPS

I have an 4215 2FE IDS version 4.1 and I need to transform it in an inline tool with version 5 software. In the documentation it is written that only the 4215 4FE can be used in inline mode. Can somebody tell me if there is any way to transform my equipment in an inline tool? Maybe to add some customer e100 Intel Interfaces... Did somebody do it already?

You can upgrade your existing 4215 with the 4FE card, which is orderable separately as a spare (IDS-4FE-INT=). This will give you two inline pairs that can be used to support inline with 5.0 software. Currently, the 4FE card is the only supported option for supporting inline functionality on the 4215.

Is the 4FE Card supported on the 4210 Platform?

Unfortunately, no. The 4210 platform will support the 5.0 software, but will not support inline features of that release.
