After issuing the command copy tftp flash on the secondary PIX it is showing on the tftp server that transfer of the image completed. But on the session output of the pix is showing nothing like "image install". When try to reload the pix giving the error" copying the image can not reload".Please suggests on that. In this case if I power off /on the secondary pix what will be the effect whether the pix boot up with the old verson.

do a sh flash..do you see new image installed ?

also check sh run | inc boot, the firewall will boot with the boot image you have set

okie..then you are on 6.x..reload the box and try again to upgrade form tftp..which mode of firewall is it ?

You mean to say power off/on. As the reload command is also not taking by the box.giving the error "can not relaod..writing emage"
