Active Standby ASA with downlink switches in VRRP

Hi All,

I am looking for help in getting a concrete topology for a couple of ASAs which will be configured in active standby mode. The ASAs will be connected to 2 switches which are already running VRRP.

Will the following topology help?

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/i/200001-300000/250001-260000/255001-256000/255098.eps/_jcr_content/renditions/255098.jpg

If the above will, how can I configure the 2 ports on the 2 different switches in a port channel?

Help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Aseem

The mentioned topology can work and is quite common. But the two switches that connect the ASAs must be one logical switch. That can be a VSS-pair or a switch-stack depending on the devices you use.
