AIP-SSM License Renewal

Hi All

I have ASA 5540 with AIP-SSM 40 installed and working perfectly, the AIP-SSM License will expire very soon and i need to order the license in advance as this process may take long time. I need to know which of the following is the correct part number of the license that i should order as the price of one is higher than the other:

CON-SU1-AS4A40K9

CON-SU1-ASIP40K9

Additionally, it would be great if anybody can answer the following questions:

1- what is the differences between these two licenses

2- when I should use each license

3- what will happen if i install any license on the AIP-SSM

Sorry I can;t help with your part number question. As far as your sensor license goes, if your license expires you should get a 30 day grace peroid that will still allow you to install signature updates.

You always can install OS updates (that contain the latest signature pack as of their release date) even without a license.
