Allow Skype access thorugh ASA

Hello Community,

We are providing internet to the  internal users of company through ISA and there are using proxy in there browsers. We have also an ASA 5540 as an edge firewall, We are not providing direct internet access to any of the users.

We have got some couple of employees, they want to use skype to converse with organisation associates. Firstly they tried and told me it wouldn't work.

These pc's are part of Windoes Domain.

Please someone can help me how can I allow skype to work and as well not giving them direct internet access. Much appreciated

Hi,

Skype should be allowed through the ASA with default configuration from inside to outside (assuming there's internet fine).

Perhaps, there's a filter blocking the ports or something similar.

Can you share the sanitized running-config?
