Allowing Windows XP PPTP VPN Through 877w IOS

Hi,

I have seen various posts relating to this issue but I still can't resolve this, all I want to do it to allow an XP machine to connect to a remote PPTP VPN Server.

I have a zone firewall set up on my 877 and configured "inspect pptp" and also allowed ACLs for GRE through but still get the same issue.

The PC hangs on verifying username and password, without the firewall active it goes straight in

I have the latest IOS.

Please help if possible

Do you have ESP and UDP allowed through your ACL also? Another thing to do would be to look at your logs. See what traffic is being denied, and then start opening those ports up.

Did you ever get this to work. It comes up as an issues minor issue for customers of mine. I have not seen pptp work through an ISO router since 12.2.  I have a customer that I tried upgrade last year to a current version software and ended up down grading them so they could PPTP again.
