an IPS and VSS switch

We have an IPS 4270 and 2 x 6509 switch

Could  an IPS  work with VSS switch ( ips and vss.jpg) ?

I see the slide in page 66 of  BRKSEC-2030 (2011):  ips with vss or vpc.png

The slide: DOES NOT WORK with Standalone IPS.

This thing make me confuse.

Hi,

Is this going to be for inline Vlan Pair or for interface pair? As far as the documentation goes, only for etherchannel Highavailability but not for traffic enhacement.

In the presentation it indicates that it supports it with the ASA firewall, as you can put is as transparent and end an etherchannel port to it and have the traffic being sent to thr inspection module.
