hi,
i've got an 5525x running as anyconnect RA VPN and it's using anyconnect 4.1 image for windows.
there's no more 4.1 pre-deploy/installer for windows in the cisco download site and i only got 4.8.
will the 4.8 work when connecting to the VPN GW and then it will "downgrade" to 4.1?
i also got anyconnect 3.1 windows installer. should i install this instead and then it will "upgrade" to 4.1?
5525# sh run webvpn
webvpn
enable outside
hsts
enable
max-age 31536000
include-sub-domains
no preload
anyconnect image disk0:/anyconnect-win-4.1.02011-k9.pkg 1

Yes it will work and no it will not downgrade.
FYI, you should consider upgrading to the latest version as not only does it have a load of bug fixes, it supports the more secure ciphers and has better performance.

hi rob,
thanks for your reply!
how about if anyconnect 3.1 is installed? will it "upgrade" the software to 4.1?

Yes, it will upgrade.
If it doesn't, check the local AnyConnect profile to ensure Bypass Downloader is not set.
