ASA 5505 and proxy server

Hello All,

I have a proxy http filter running from my PC. I would like to re-direct all http traffic from one host on the inside interface to port 8888 on my pc also sitting on the inside interface on a different port on the ASA. Can this be done? I have already tried using a NAT statement and WCCP but I can't seem to redirect traffic to different ports. Please let me know what the best way is to do this.

Thanks!

You can use WCCP for that when the following requirements are met:

1) The proxy supports WCCP with GRE-encapsulation as the ASA doesn't support L2-mode.
2) Both client and Proxy are in the same vlan.

This scenario is probably the best as there are no modifications needed on the client. If you can't use WCCP you have to modify the proxy-config of the client to use an explicit proxy.
