Hi all,
I am trying to re image the firewall 5506-x with firepower services. Currently my firewall has this IOS insataaled: asa961-lfbff-k8.SPA. i configured it and it was working fine (No Firepower services yet). after approx one month of configuration its CPU reached maximum...100 % utilization. when i explored the issue i figured it out that it is like a bug (link: https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCut65365/?referring_site=bugquickviewredir .... or Ref attached) and i need to upgrade my IOS. so i arranged new IOS "asa962-23-lfbff-k8.SPA ". Now i have new IOS and ready to upgrade. here i have some basic questions:
1. Upgrading the IOS will also upgrade the firepower services ?
2. Is there any link between IOS and Firepower services ?
3. Is firepower the part of IOS ?
4. What other challenges i would face after ONLY upgrading the IOS ?
