Asa 5506-X with Firepower book

Hi,

I'm looking for a decent book on a Asa 5506-X with Firepower services (preferably with configuration examples). I've looked around but can't seem to find one. There's a good amount of books available on Asa's but they are either outdated or not applicable to the Asa 5506-X. Although still unclear if I can use it for the Asa 5506, the only one I could think of being suitable is 'Cisco Next-Generation Security Solutions' (9781587144462) by Omar Santos but whenever I read the Amazon reviews on that book it says the following: "Nearly all examples use FMC, with few using ASDM. So if you are trying to configure an ASA FirePower module through ASDM, avoid this book."

We don't have an FMC, neither as device or as VM so I doubt this book is useful to us.

Can anyone please recommend me a good book? I really want to get started with the deeper stuff.

The concept's in Omar's book are generally applicable to Firepower - doing it via FMC vs. ASDM is an implementation detail and not as important as understanding the concepts.

If you want the blow-by-blow on how to use ASDM to configure Firepower the Cisco configuration guide covers that quite well.

I'd also recommend some of the Cisco Live presentations as well as the many free videos that are available (labminutes.com, network-node.com, some YouTube channels etc.)
