Does the ASA 5506-X base license still only support the 2 interfaces and a limited DMZ like the base 5505 did?
It's very odd to remove switch ports that can participate in the same vlans, and yet they create a traditional ASA with 8 gig ports when you can only use 2 of them?
I see that it says unlimited physical and now 5 VLANS, however I can't get anything to work properly over the >2 physical interfaces. I have tried port redirection, static NAT, direct interface configuration and none of it works...though if I do the exact same thing to my outside interface everything works great.
Please tell me this is not the case and that I am not required to purchase the security plus license to use more than two physical interfaces?
Seriously the SRX100 base has almost every feature and item open for use (not to mention GRE), why does Cisco have to do this?
