Dear All memebers,
Hope all be fine,
I have a problem in Cisco ASA 5510 Firewall, when I get this firewall it was old ASA image and ASDM version,
So I upload a new image and asdm and booting it, after reboot the firewall can't load it's image from flash,

and I think it was not comptible so, now I am in rommon #0> mode and I can't go back with old image also

can go newer image, because I don't have the image and asdm of new version.

I would Like to get help from all memebers.

Hi,

You can boot it from the rommon mode.

Please check this link:

hi,

what version are you trying to install on the 5510?

note the 5510 can be upgraded up to 9.1.7 code only and you'll need higher RAM (1 GB i believe).

also make sure confreg is set to 0x1.

Hi Dear John,
I am using Cisco Firewall ASA 5510 and I upload the ASA 924 and ASDM 751 it was from ASA 5505, so after reboot it goes to rommon #0> and now I can go forward also can't come back to the old asa and asdm because I forgot the asa previous version.

hi,

you can't use an image higher than 9.1.7 on a 5510 as mentioned on my previous post.

just to be safe on the RAM (if you haven't checked if it's 1GB), download and boot your 5510 to 8.2.5.

directly connect your PC to the eth0/1, assign a point-to-point static IP between PC and ASA e0/1, run TFTP software on your PC and use the tftpdnld command.

here's a useful link on the said procedure:
