Hello, I recently purchased 2 asa 5510 used, and one of the asa's has version 8.4.1 and the other version 8.2.5. My question is can I copy the version 8.4.1 onto the version 8.2.5 and will I need a seperate license to do this?

Kind regards,

Gary Lefebvre

Hi Gary,

You do not need a separate licence.

But the two configs are different.

So what you can do is to upgrade the ASA from 8.2.5 to 8.4 with the same config and the ASA will take care of the config changes.

Aditya
