Hi,
I've bought an ASA5520 and I could not access the console port. Another thing I think it's not normal is because the Status LED is amber as soon as turn the switch on.
Is this a hardware problem ???

Hello Neirival,
when you say 'could not access the console port' do you mean 'no response seen from the console port'?
Simple things first:
-is this console connection set up as per standard, ie, 8 bits for data, etc, etc?
-does the console connection work for any other Cisco devices?
I have to say, though- the amber light sounds like bad news. DOA?

Yes, I have no response from console and I can access other Cisco devices.
