Hi Guys,
I have 2 ASA 5520 to upgrade from 8.0 to 8.2. Can someone please send me the instructions on how to do this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lake

Hi,
This is not a major upgrade, so you can just download the 8.2 code and issue the boot system disk0:/filename.bin.
If you were to upgrade to 8.3 or later, you would likely need more RAM for your ASAs and the NAT structure has changed around quite a bit.
Is there any reason why you are choosing 8.2 and not a later release of code?

Thanks for your quick reply. I would like to upgrade to 8.2 and then to 8.4.

You will likely need a memory upgrade for each ASA. You can check what amount of memory you have by looking at the output of show version. If you do not have 2GB of memory, you will need to purchase part number ASA5520-MEM-2GB=.
I would also recommend checking out the following link which goes over the changes to NAT, etc.
