I have dual ASA 5540 in Active/FO mode. The outside Interface is connected to a 2960 switch which then connects to a Packetshaper device and the Gateway Internet Router. The gateway router is connected to a satelite modem through a serial interface to the Internet. I use sub-interfaces for DMZ on one of the interfaces. Some servers reside on the Inside and others in the DMZ. The problem is that whenever there is a connection breakdown on the Internet Link, I am not able to telnet the gateway router and servers in the DMZ from the Inside. Generally, the connection becomes very very slow going to the DMZ as well as the gateway router.Whenever this happens, the CPU usage and memory utilization is as in normal condition. I don't see anything strange on the xlate and connection counts as well. When the Internet connection is restored everything becomes normal. How can I solve this problem
