Hi All,
I'm getting slightly confused and wanted to confirm that these are indeed using software SFR modules i.e. there is no physical module therefore the physical resources are consuming what is on the ASA? So resources can be taken to compromise ASA.
Thanks
George

Firepower service modules are software on all models except ASA 5585-X.
However they do require and use the Solid State Drives (SSDs) for storage.
On 5508-X the SSD is an internal 80 GB mSATA. On 5545-X the SSDs are inserted externally into the carrier module in the front panel. It uses two 120 GB SSDs in a RAID 1 array.
