Hello,

Can anyone tell me when the Cisco will stop issueing software updates for the ASA 5585-X platform (ASA5585-SSP-40 and ASA5585-S40-2A-K9)?

I've seen the EoS announcement (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/asa-5500-series-next-generation-firewalls/eos-eol-notice-c51-740021.html) - and we've confirmed with our support partner that they'll contiue to support the hardware until May 31st 2023 but I cannot find anywhere that states when software updates ends, does anyone know?

Many thanks, Michael

ASA 9.12(x) was the final version for the ASA 5512-X, 5515-X, 5585-X, and ASASM.

That said, the 9.12 release is still being actively maintained. There has not been an End of Sales / End of Life announcement for that software release. Even if one were announced tomorrow, Cisco normally gives customers 2-3 years to plan migration from the affected releases. So, we should expect to see interim releases for 9.12 for the next couple of years.

Hello Marvin, thanks for the information that's really useful.
