Hi,
Sorry if I have posted in the wrong forum. I have an old Asa5505 7.0 with unlimited license and I wanted to replace it with new ASA5505 9.0 10 user license. I copied the running config from the old ASA5505 7.0 and paste it to new ASA5505 9.0. When I powered it on and connected all the network cables, nothing worked and the users were unable to go on the internet. I disconnected the new ASA5505 9.0 from the rack and connected the old one back. So I think I know what I did wrong but just wanted expert opinions on it as well.
Thanks,

Hello,
Since 7.0 is not compatible with 9.0, you cannot use the same config.
If it is not too long, you can migrate it manually, otherwise you need to upgrade the old ASA to a copatible version (8.3 +)

Felipe.

Would it work after upgrading iOS 8.5 or do I still need unlimited license to support internal hosts?

After the migration it should work for 10 users at the time only.

Felipe.
