Hello, I was thinking to use ASA5520 in Active Active mode but I have a doubt about how it work.

As from my readings the context that is in a falover group can process traffic only in the unit where this context is active. Therefore for this context there is no load-balancing. To acieve load balancing you have to create 2nd context and set it as active on the secondary unit. is that correct ?

Hi,

Your statement is correct. There is no load balanciong for a single context.

Active active is a manual configuration making half your contexts active on one ASA and the half active on ther other ASA.
