Hi,
one AIP-SSM-10 module in the ASA 5500 keeps logging these messages. Any ideas on the meaning?
Mar 27 17:07:13 sensor user.info kernel: ../node.c: Lost link <1.1.2:sy0_0-1.1.1:tap0> on network plane A
Mar 27 17:07:13 sensor user.warn kernel:
Mar 27 17:07:13 sensor user.info kernel: ../node.c: Lost contact with <1.1.1>
Mar 27 17:07:13 sensor user.warn kernel:

Mar 27 17:07:13 sensor user.warn kernel:
Mar 27 17:16:09 sensor user.info kernel: ../node.c: Lost link <1.1.2:sy0_0-1.1.1:tap0> on network plane A
Mar 27 17:16:09 sensor user.warn kernel:

Thanks,
Dan.

Hi,
Most probably these logs refer to connectivity problems with ASA's backplane. Have you noticed any 'service card failure' logs in ASA?

I have seen the the card failing once. We have two similar units and the IPS module become unrepsonsive on all units but only this one displays these messages.

danjianu,
Did you ever find the cause of this issue? I am having the same issue on an ASA HA pair that keeps failing back and forth because of this. They are both showing these errors. We had this issue years ago and eventually they went away without knowing the cause, but now they are back.
Thanks,
Mark
