Hi
Can anyone confirm that the ASA can do network anti-virus scanning?
If so what models do it and how much does the performance suffer?

Hi,
Please check:

While the ASA 5500 Series delivers Adaptive Threat Defense solutions built on firewall, intrusion prevention system (IPS), and network antivirus capabilities, it may also be used with, or independent of, these services as a dedicated-function VPN platform.

Hi
Yes I have had a good look at the documentation and it say sit does network anti-virus scanning but it does not tell you how. By th elook of things it is just using IPS to detect sig, but it is not actually doing virus scanning. The documentation is a bit vague on this and cisco need to clarify what it does.
