Hello everybody,
our customer could not access his ASA5505 running 9.1(7)32
(suggested release) using the ASDM.
I could also not access the ASA by the ASDM because it hangs at
loading at 17% (see attached screen dump).
When I click away the window the fields in the ASDM stayed empty
(see attached screen dump).
I upgraded the ASDM using the file asdm-7161-150.bin and rebooted
the ASA. But the issue persists.
I started the HTTP-server on another port (8888 instead of 8443)
but the ASDM hangs at loading at 17% again.
I tried it from another PC (Java Version 8 Update 291) - same issue.
I don't know what I still could try to get the ASDM running.
Attached you find the 'sh run' output.
What can I do yet?
Thanks a lot for every hint!
Greetings
R.

What version of Windows/Mac OS are you running?

Hello,
the PCs are working with Windows 10 Enterprise (OS built 19042.1151) and with
Windows 10 Enterprise (OS built 19042.1165).
Hope you know something that I can still try to get it working.
Thanks a lot!

I just tested it (But with the latest version of ASDM) on Windows 10 and Server 2016 and did not have any issues. I would suggest reaching out to TAC for assistance.

Hi @swscco001,
Please note that you are using ASA v9.1 which can only support TLS 1.0, which has been deprecated. Apart fro being deprecated, Java actively blocks TLS v1.0 from recent version (I believe from 1.8.0_291). There is a workaround to re-enable TLS v1.0 and you should try again then. Please check this post and see if this solve your problem.

Milos

Hi Milos,
unfortunately the steps in your post did not solve this issue.
Thanks a lot anyway!
