Hello,
I have got a problem, caused by ASDM crash. I was checking traffic flow in a network by TCP Ping utility, on ASA firewall.
I have defined an IP address and port of source and destination, also defined source interface.. and clicked Ping. And nothing happens....after few seconds I saw a message says "ASDM lost connection with Firewall", I clicked refresh.. there was no any outputs in the ping window.
However the TCP SYN packets has started to be sending... and ASA is sending them until now.
I tried to log off and log on again, doesn't help. After that I have tried via console, on system context, to disconnect ASDM session.. I did it successfully but it hasn't resolved the issue. ASA firewall is sending these TCP pings over and over...
I understand that there is running some process responsible for sending of these packets. My question is, how to find which process is it?? and how to kill it ?
I cannot reload the firewall and cannot turn off related interface , it is a production environment.
Thanks in advance for any help..
